Low Account Balance
- Update to Lunch Account Payment: Beginning December 1, due to the cost of online payment processing, the fee structure for online lunch payments will change to a 3.5 percent processing fee.
- Family lunch accounts MUST stay above $5.00
- Grades 4-12 will be reminded of a low account balance when paying for their lunch.
- Families receive a daily email when food service account is below $20.00 balance per family.
Avoid Additional Costs
Please encourage your student to take at least one fruit or veggie option.
If your student does not take a fruit or vegetable, ala carte pricing will be charged – this is an additional cost to your family.

Breakfast Information
- Hot and cold breakfast is served from 7:45 – 8:10 am Mon-Fri.
- Items available include cold cereal, long johns/sweet rolls, omelettes, french toast/waffles
- A la carte breakfast sandwiches sometimes available.
Lunch Information
- Grades 4-6 can have the option of a la carte lunch items.
- If you do not want your child to have these a la carte items, you must block a la carte in EduTrak or tell your child not to purchase those items.
- You can also put a spending limit (of at least a lunch price) on your child's food service account.
- Grades K-12 have the option of ordering an Uncrustable Peanut Butter & Jelly or Cheese Sandwich as an alternate daily. This includes vegetable, fruit, and milk.
- Sandwiches: Ham & Cheese or Turkey & Cheese Deli Sandwiches are available as a meal choice for 4-12. First-come first-served.
- JH/HS have a daily option of a Pizza Slice that can be made into a meal, Monday thru Friday.

Summer Food ProgramsThe Iowa City Community School District is pleased to once again participate in the Summer Food Service Program, providing free meals and snacks to children throughout our community during the summer months.All children ages 18 and under are welcome to participate, and no registration is required. Meals and snacks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.The program will run from June 15 through August 7, 2026, with no meal service on June 19 and June 29 through July 3. Additional schedule variations are noted below.Meal Site Locations and Schedules:Antelope Mobile Lending Library:Snacks served from June 16 to August 14. There will be no service from June 30 through July 3.
